Goat Funded Trader Launches Its Own Broker to Reintroduce MT5 Access

Goat Funded Trader has officially stepped into the brokerage space, marking a major move in the prop trading industry. The proprietary trading company announced that it has opened its own broker, complete with an officially acquired MetaTrader 5 (MT5) license — a move designed to empower its traders with direct access to more tools, platforms, and trading flexibility.

The company shared the news proudly on X (formerly Twitter), stating:

"At GFT, we make sure our traders get it all... and more! IT’S OFFICIAL: MT5 is BACK."

The new brokerage is registered in Saint Lucia, with an operational presence also in Hong Kong, strengthening Goat Funded Trader’s global footprint.

Promotions Celebrating the Launch

To celebrate the MT5 comeback, Goat Funded Trader rolled out several promotions:

  • 65% off on the $5,000 Goat Challenge

  • 35% off sitewide for all other challenges

  • Special price offers, such as:

    • $5,000 Goat Challenge for only $17

    • $100,000 Goat Challenge for just $268, with the promotional code "MT5" automatically applied

These limited-time offers highlight GFT’s focus on making high-value trading opportunities more accessible to its community.

A History of Platform Changes

This isn’t GFT’s first major platform shift.
In 2024, following multiple outages of MetaTrader's Platform4, the firm announced a full migration of accounts to MatchTrader.

Edoardo Dalla Torre, CEO of Goat Funded Trader, stated:

"Due to multiple outages of Platform4 and our continuous commitment to ensure our traders have a good trading experience, all Platform4 accounts will now be migrated to MatchTrader."

In parallel, GFT also introduced TradeLocker as a new alternative platform.

However, with the MT5 licensing now in place, Goat Funded Trader is reintroducing MetaTrader into its offering, aiming to deliver a stronger and more stable trading experience.

Prop Firms Embracing Direct MT5 Access

Goat Funded Trader isn't alone in this strategy.
Other challenge-based prop firms, like Wall Street Funded, have recently registered offshore brokers in Saint Lucia to regain MT5 access. Meanwhile, firms such as Instant Funding have also secured direct MT5 licenses.

Some companies have even looked toward jurisdictions like the Island of Comoros for faster licensing solutions.

By opening its own broker and securing MT5 licensing, Goat Funded Trader is reinforcing its commitment to giving traders the platforms, tools, and opportunities they demand, positioning itself strongly in an increasingly competitive prop trading landscape.
