cTrader Adds WebView Plugin Support - A New Tool for Prop Firms to Customise Trader Experience
Spotware has just launched WebView plugins for its cTrader platform, giving brokers - including tech-driven prop firms -a new way to deliver branded, dynamic trading environments.
WebView plugins allow for seamless integration of custom web content into the cTrader desktop, web, and mobile platforms. Whether it’s an AI assistant, internal leaderboard, custom dashboard, or an educational widget, firms can now embed proprietary tools and information directly inside the cTrader interface.
Unlike traditional plugins, WebView plugins are lighter, cloud-synced, and easier to deploy. Firms can develop and publish their own plugins through the cTrader Store, positioning them as engagement tools and brand differentiators. Individual traders and developers can also publish and monetise their tools, expanding the platform’s ecosystem.
For prop firms, this unlocks new possibilities: onboarding journeys, trader coaching, internal news feeds, or proprietary analytics - all inside the platform traders already use.
Creating a plugin requires only a web service connected via cTrader’s API, with no advanced coding needed. Once built, it syncs across all user devices.
With cTrader Store rapidly evolving, Spotware is signalling an open, community-led future for trading innovation - and prop firms may want to take note.
PropInsider will continue tracking platform-level upgrades that help prop firms personalise, scale, and retain trader engagement.
